Our client, a well-established agriculture firm is looking to add a bright and growth orientated staff accountant to their team. This organization is diverse and vertically integrated in various farming, food production, and manufacturing enterprises. Position Summary:
Maintain General Ledger, record, analyze, and report financial information. Support strong internal controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record, analyze, and report financial/management information.
- Forward daily and weekly sales reports to select members of management team.
- Record Sales Data into company ERP system.
- Assist and support strong internal controls.
- Interpret financial data and assist in maintaining accuracy of the financial reporting.
Competencies:
- Organizational Support - Follow policies and procedures.
- Quality - Demonstrate accuracy, detail and understanding of transactions.
- Demonstrated competencies with accounting/ERP software packages.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Safety and Security - Observe safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Adaptability - Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Prefer experience in Famous. Food manufacturing or ag experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of balance sheets, income statements.
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Fundamental understanding of GAAP.
- Knowledge and understanding of office policies and procedures.
- Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office Suite with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Attention to detail, highly organized, strong work ethic, demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format.
- General knowledge of A/R and A/P and bookkeeping procedures.

Must be able to work independently to carry out details of your job function. Must be able to assess and adapt with unexpected situations that may arise while carrying out the duties of your job.
