Urgent direct hire need in the Bakersfield area for an experienced Account Manager. The Account Manager will develop strong customer relationships and manage accounts within their assigned territory by developing and implementing selling programs and proactive customer service policies with owners and managers of retailers. A strong emphasis will be on digital conversion/sales. The core mission is to increase sales and ensure current list of account stays current with new product launches and brand newness.


  • Manage existing accounts: grow sales of products and services through solution selling methods, understand changing customer needs, work with customer support and credit departments to insure accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Identify new sales opportunities while maintaining quality contacts and employ company resources as needed to close sales.
  • Become a product expert. Understand the business and their unique needs as well as each account’s customer base.
  • Reach all assigned sales goals.
  • Prepare complete, accurate, detailed reports within established timelines: customer reports, weekly reports, monthly reports, and special reports as requested.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans which maximize sales opportunities.
  • Attend assigned trade shows to foster relationships, promote product and close sales.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ Years of sales experience, showcasing a successful track record in a consultative sales position; demonstrated results in the needs-based selling process; and territory management
  • Self-motivated, goal achiever with a strong work ethic
  • Able to work as a team to meet monthly sales quotas
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and a desire to influence and persuade people
  • Strong organizational, time management, and personal skills to successfully communicate and negotiate with list of accounts
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge (including Excel) are vital to manage assigned duties as well as educating customers on new content delivery platforms and programs
