Corporate Tax Accountant
Our client, a private successful multi-state company located in Bakersfield, California, is actively seeking a highly motivated CPA as a senior tax accountant. Broad knowledge and hands on experience with tax preparation, planning and compliance is crucial.
Essential duties:
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLC’s, non-grantor trusts and individuals
- Ensure compliance with international reporting requirements for foreign transactions
- Research complex tax strategies
- Resolve routine to complex accounting and tax problems
- Communicate directly with taxing authority representatives
- Interact with senior management
Desired skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prefer licensed as a CPA
- Minimum three years’ experience as a tax professional working in a robust environment
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with tax software – ProSystem-fx®
- Strong writing and communication abilities
- Able to operate in a paperless workplace environment
Compensation and benefits:
- Salary of $100,000 -$150,000 annually, depending on experience, education and license
